Danny Lyon

Danny Lyon was a self-taught American photographer and filmaker, born in 1942. Although most of his photos didn't apply to the space project, I found this photo that interested me and related to my concept, due to the fact that it also shows the perspective through bars, looking into an empty space.

Raymond Depardon

Raymond Depardon was a French photographer, photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. I used some of his photos to influence my ideas when approaching this project. I felt that his photos above captured what I was trying to get across - the idea of imprisonment within a space. His use of bars and wire interested me as they illustrate the amount of effort gone to create such a space, and how the space has a purpose because of those bars. I wanted to capture his perspective through the bars looking into the space.
